It seems like Joshua Dobbs has been at Tennessee forever. Dobbs will tell you that, for him, the past four years have passed in the blink of an eye.On Saturday Dobbs will run through the T formed by the Pride of the Southland Band for the final time when the Volunteers take on Missouri. It feels like Ive been here a while, said Dobbs, who will be starting his 33rd game at quarterback for Tennessee. But it also feels like it has flown by in some instances. But the urgency of the task at hand doesnt allow much time for reflection for Dobbs and his fellow 12 seniors. No. 19 Tennessee (7-3, 3-3 SEC) still has a chance to get to the SEC championship game. If the Volunteers can win their final two games with Missouri and Vanderbilt - and if Florida loses to LSU on Saturday - then Tennessee would go to Atlanta for the first time since 2007.And the Volunteers are going to need Dobbs to carry them. A week ago Kentucky ran for 443 yards against Tennessee, but Dobbs would not let his team lose. He threw for 223 yards and ran for 147 more, including a 45-yard touchdown run, as Tennessee won 49-36.Dobbs needs 329 total yards to become No. 3 on the Tennessee career yardage list behind Peyton Manning and Casey Clausen. He already holds the career rushing touchdown record for a quarterback with 26.And he has done it all as one of the best students in college football, majoring in Aerospace Engineering.Hes special, said Tennessee coach Butch Jones. He is everything you want a student-athlete to be.Here are some other key storylines for Saturday: No. 23 Florida (7-2, 5-2) can win the SEC East for the second straight year if the Gators can find a way to beat No. 16 LSU (6-3, 4-2) in Baton Rouge. Youll remember that this game was originally scheduled for Oct. 8 in Gainesville but was rescheduled and relocated due to Hurricane Matthew. LSU, under interim head coach Ed Orgeron, still has a chance at the Sugar Bowl if it can win its final two games with Florida and Texas A&M. Its been a tough season for Mississippi State (4-6, 2-4) but the Bulldogs still have a shot at their seventh straight bowl trip if they can beat Arkansas (6-4, 2-4). The Bulldogs, who have beaten Arkansas in each of the past four seasons, struggled last week against Alabama (51-3) as quarterback Nick Fitzgerald was held to only 15 yards rushing.Look for Fitzgerald to fare better against an Arkansas defense (12th in the SEC in rushing) that has struggled against good running teams like Auburn and LSU. There was not a better storybook ending last Saturday than that of Shea Patterson, the freshman quarterback from Ole Miss. After the Rebels lost senior quarterback Chad Kelly to an injury, coach Hugh Freeze had a tough decision to make: To just play out the season with Kellys backup, Jason Pellerin, or to take the redshirt off Shea Patterson, one of the nations top high school quarterbacks and the star of the 2016 recruiting class. After consulting with the family, Patterson played and led the Rebels to a stunning 29-28 victory at Texas A&M.Now Patterson gets his second career start when the Rebels (5-5, 2-4) travel to Vanderbilt (4-6, 1-5). A win would put Ole Miss into a bowl for the fifth straight year. Here are a few more quick storylines:Georgia (6-4, 4-4) is done in conference play. The Bulldogs host Louisiana-Lafayette (4-5) on Saturday and close out the season with Georgia Tech. Eight wins in Kirby Smarts first season, with a chance for a ninth in a bowl, would not be bad.South Carolina (5-5, 3-5) can clinch a bowl bid in Will Muschamps first season as coach with a win over Western Carolina (2-8).No. 25 Texas A&M (7-3, 4-3) plays Texas-San Antonio (5-5) and needs to have an uncomplicated day as the Aggies face LSU on Thanksgiving Day in College Station. After starting 0-2 Kentucky (5-5, 4-4) looked like a long shot for a bowl. But the Wildcats will clinch a spot in the postseason for the first time since 2010 by beating Austin Peay (0-10) at Commonwealth Stadium.No. 19 Auburn (7-3, 5-2) got its heart broken last week with a 13-7 loss at Georgia. That kept the Tigers from playing for the SEC West championship on Nov. 26 against Alabama. But the Tigers need to take care of business against Alabama A&M (4-6) and start getting ready to play for pride against the No. 1 team in the nation. Running back Kamryn Pettway will not play for Auburn for the second straight week and quarterback Sean White is out with a shoulder injury. Jeremy Johnson will start at quarterback, with John Franklin III also getting playing time, according to Auburn coach Gus Malzahn.No. 1 Alabama (10-0, 7-0) has the SEC West and a trip to Atlanta already locked up. So look for the Crimson Tide to get their starters out early against Chattanooga (8-2) in order to get ready for next weeks Iron Bowl with Auburn. A historical note: This will be Coach Nick Sabans 46th game with his team ranked No. 1. That breaks the record he shared with Woody Hayes and Bobby Bowden. Saban should get his 41st win as the No. 1 team, which also breaks the record he shared with Hayes and Bowden. Cheap Air Max Plus Wholesale . Following a loss to Colorado on Saturday, Minnesota rebounded the following night to blank Nashville 4-0, but then had the tables turned on them Tuesday. TORONTO -- Sidney Crosby was at his best on one of hockeys biggest stages.Again.Crosby scored once and assisted on both of Brad Marchands goals, including the winner early the third period, to help Canada beat Russia 5-3 on Saturday night in the World Cup of Hockey semifinals. He always comes up big in the big games, Marchand said. The Canadians will face the winner of Sundays Sweden -Team Europe game in the best-of-three finals that will start Tuesday night. Were going to be measured on what happens next, said coach Mike Babcock, who has helped Canada win gold at the last two Winter Olympics.Crosby opened the scoring at 7:40 into the game on a spectacular sequence, showing he has plenty of energy despite having a brief summer between winning the Stanley Cup and competing in the World Cup.It was short, but exciting, knowing we were coming here, he said.Crosby skated hard into a corner, forcing Alexey Marchenko to give up the puck earlier than he wanted. Dmitry Kulikov ended up with the puck in the left circle, but didnt have it long because Crosby snatched it away.Crosby made the puck dance on both sides of his stick as he skated across the front of the crease and as soon as Sergei Bobrovsky went down on his left hip, he backhanded the puck into the net without a Russian player near him.I had a little bit more time than you typically get, Crosby said.Bobrovsky made 16 of his 42 saves in the first period, keeping the Russians in it.Thats why hes one of the best goalies in the world, teammate Alex Ovechkin said. He played unbelievable. When they score, its not his mistake. He gave us a chance.Nikita Kucherov made it 1-all midway through the first and Evgeny Kuznetsov put Russia ahead 2-1 with 3:36 left in the second.Crosby, a two-time Olympic gold medalist and two-time Stanley Cup champion, made a cross-crease pass to set up Marchand for his tying goal just 1:12 after Russia went ahead. In the dressing room after two periods, Babcock delivered a brief message.Theres no chance they can keep up if we keep doing what were doing, Babcock recalled telling his team. The Russians, and perhaps any other team, may not have much of an opportunity to win against a Crosby-led team with some of the games biggest stars. With a chance to take a pivvotal lead in the third, Crosby chose to give up the puck, not shoot it.dddddddddddd He deftly dropped a pass to Marchand atop the left circle to assist on the game-winning goal 1:16 into the third.Corey Perry gave Canada a two-goal cushion at 5:48 of the third and John Tavares made it 4-2 midway through the period.Carey Price made 31 saves for the Canadians. He made some momentum-stunting saves early in the first, but backchecking forwards and poke-checking defensemen made his job relatively easy for much of the night.Russia was not in a position to come back in a game in which it gave up more than twice as many shots as it put on the Price-protected net until pulling their goalie late to add an extra skater in a nothing-to-lose attempt to get back in the game. Artemi Panarin scored with 9 seconds left, making the score look slightly more respectable. The Russians were without one of their top players, Pavel Datsyuk , because of a lower-body injury. As usual in a matchup of NHL superstars, Crosby came out on top against Ovechkin. It looked as if it might end up that way even before the puck dropped. Both captains were called the center ice for a goodwill gesture, pairing them up with young boys on skates holding flags that represented each country. While Crosby put his arm around the youngster next to him, a stone-faced Ovechkin stood with his gloves at his side.Crosby helped the host Canadians crush the Ovechkin-led Russians 7-3 in the quarterfinals of the 2010 Vancouver Games. Four years later, with a chance at redemption at the Winter Olympics in Russia, Ovechkin couldnt do enough to help his team get past the quarterfinals while Crosby and the Canadians earned gold again. Ovechkin is also left waiting and wondering if hell ever hoist the Stanley Cup.Given a chance to help his team and country get a desperately wanted win, Ovechkin didnt have a shot through two periods and finished with just two shots.Maybe he doesnt have enough of luck, Russian coach Oleg Znarok said through an interpreter.---Follow Larry Lage at www.twitter.com/larrylage and follow his work at www.bigstory.ap.org/content/larry-lageWholesale HoodiesNFL Shirts OutletJerseys NFL WholesaleCheap NFL Jerseys Free ShippingWholesale Jerseys CheapCheap NFL Jerseys ChinaWholesale JerseysWholesale NFL JerseysCheap NFL Jerseys ChinaCheap NFL Jerseys ' ' '
