By adding Trey Burke and Tomas Satoransky to the backcourt, and Andrew Nicholson and Ian Mahinmi to the frontcourt, all in a span of about 24 hours, the Washington Wizards attempted to improve their roster depth after missing the playoffs last season.According to a person familiar with the moves, the Wizards will acquire Burke by trading a 2021 second-round draft pick to the Utah Jazz. They also agreed Sunday to a $9 million, three-year contract with Satoransky. The Wizards will contribute $650,000 toward Satoranskys buyout from the Spanish club he has been with, the maximum amount NBA teams can pay. Satoransky was drafted in the second round in 2012 by Washington but has remained overseas since then. The person confirmed the Burke and Satoransky deals to The Associated Press, speaking on condition of anonymity because there is an NBA moratorium on such moves until next Thursday. Also Sunday, Washington agreed to a $26 million, four-year contract with Nicholson, a free-agent power forward who has spent his entire four-year NBA career with the Orlando Magic. Nicholsons agent, Mark Bartelstein, confirmed the terms of the deal to the AP.Nicholson wrote on Twitter: Truly blessed and honored to be part of the wizards organization! Thank you for this opportunity (and) cant wait to be in uniform! All three moves were first reported by Yahoo Sports.Burke was the No. 9 overall choice in the 2013 NBA draft out of Michigan and has averaged 12.1 points and 4.2 assists in three seasons with Utah, mostly as a starter for the first two but only as a reserve last season.Satoransky is a 6-foot-7 guard from the Czech Republic who is 24 years old.Nicholson is a 6-9, 250-pound Canadian who averaged 6.9 points and 3.6 rebounds last season, while playing under 15 minutes per game. A first-round pick by the Magic four years ago, he has averaged 6.5 points and 3.2 rebounds in the NBA, with a total of 36 starts.Mahinmi is a 6-11, 250-pound center from France who agreed Saturday to a $64 million, four-year contract and should be able to offer Washington needed help with defense and rebounding. He averaged career highs of 9.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists and about 25 minutes in 71 games, all starts, for the Indiana Pacers last season.By adding that quartet, one right after the other, the Wizards now have 10 players on the roster. They began the offseason with only five, before agreeing to a $128 million, five-year contract to hold onto shooting guard Bradley Beal, a restricted free agent.Last season, the Wizards went 41-41 to finish 10th in the Eastern Conference, after making two trips in a row to the second round of the playoffs. Vancouver Whitecaps and Toronto FC failed to make the postseason while Montreal Impact fell at the first hurdle losing heavily to Houston Dynamo in the Eastern Conference Knockout Round. For the first time in living memory -- and possibly the first time in Wimbledons history -- British men have taken up residency on Centre Court every day from the opening afternoon through to the middle Saturday.Andy Murrays third-round match against Australias John Millman today takes that sequence to six days, with three appearances there for him. James Ward, Liam Broady, Marcus Willis and Dan Evans have also all played on the show court.Murray will be looking forward to this showing with some confidence, too. After a decade or so on the tour, the world No.2 has a perfect record against Australian opponents with 17 victories from 17 encounters. No wonder he says he loves Aussies. Its a run that began in February 2006, when he defeated Lleyton Hewitt in the San Jose final, and a sequence that the Briton will be confident of extending when he plays Millman for a place in the last 16 at Wimbledon. He might even end up playing another Australian in the next round, too, as if he progresses he would play either Nick Kyrgios or Spains Feliciano Lopez. At this stage of the French Open, Murray the Aussie-slayer had already played a couple of five-setters. But here at the All England Club he has won both of his matches -- against Britains Liam Broady and Taipeis Yen-Hsun Lu -- in straight sets, and conceded a total of just 15 games.Murray has had a perfect start to this tournament -- hes in a much better position now than he was before playing his third-round match in Paris, John Lloyd, a past Australian Open finalist and a former Greatt Britain Davis Cup captain, told ESPN.dddddddddddd Hes just where he wants to be.Since Lendl and Murray reformed their partnership, the world No.2 has looked more composed on his way to winning all seven of his matches -- five at Queens and two at Wimbledon. He hasnt been doing any of the negative stuff, Lloyd observed. I havent noticed any tactical or technical changes in Murrays game since Lendl came back. Murray has continued playing aggressively. One of Murrays 17 successive victories against Australians came against Millman at a hard-court tournament in Brisbane, Millmans home city, in 2012.Millmans level that day -- he took a set off Murray in a best-of-three-set encounter -- impressed the Scot. And Millman has played some decent tennis during this Wimbledon, including taking out Frenchman Benoit Paire, the No.26 seed, in the second round, with that performance inspired by the news he will represent his country at the Olympics. For the first time at Wimbledon, Millman is through to the last 32. Murray, by contrast, has never lost before this stage of the competition. Its going to be great, said the world No.67. Its what you dream of, playing on the biggest courts against the biggest players. I feel I deserve to be there. The third round at Wimbledon is uncharted territory for me, but we start at zero-all, he said. I have never been one to go out with an intimidated mindset before I play the game. ' ' '
